Her Mountain, Her Climate: Stories of Women Farming at the Roof of the World
To learn more, collaborate, or support this project please contact Ashira
At the roof of the world, women hold generations of wisdom shaped by the mountains they call home. Her Mountain, Her Climate follows four women through the rhythms of planting and harvest, of family and the land, as a changing climate transforms life in the high Himalayas of Nepal. As rainfall shifts, crops decline, and medicinal plants vanish from the mountainsides, these women meet each change with knowledge, adaptability, and an unbreakable connection to the earth beneath their feet. Through their stories, the film celebrates the women who have always been the guardians of these mountains, and whose leadership the world urgently needs.
